DIY: Body Oil & Room Spray



We love a good DIY... especially these two quick and easy recipes! We created a special "In the Mood" body oil and "Love in the Air" room and linen spray... just for you! Let us know what you think or if you have any questions about the oils and we'll get back to you ASAP!


So without further ado - let's roll up our sleeves and get started!




"In the Mood" Body Oil


Recipe:

Makes 2oz of body oil


Fill your bottle ¼ of the way (.25oz) with Jojoba oil and the remaining ¾ (1.75oz) with Fractionated Coconut oil. Now for the oils!


4 drops Sweet Orange

4 drops Patchouli

4 drops Clove Bud

3 drops Ylang Ylang I


Stir or shake your bottle to help the EOs mix evenly throughout the carrier oils. Voila! Your very own body oil ready to use!


How to Use it:


This body oil is a great moisturizer and perfume oil; you can use it daily on just your face or all over your body too. Not only does it smell good, this body oil is pretty useful to have on hand for its health benefits! It helps boosts your mood, calm and relieve stress and nourishes your skin with anti-aging benefits! In case you're wondering - the EOs in this recipe are at a 1% dilution, which makes it safe for daily use on your face and body!


Some Ingredient Info:

  • Clove Bud - Contains antioxidants, is anti-inflammatory and helps reduce blemishes

  • Sweet Orange - Balances skin oil production, is antiseptic (which helps fight acne breakouts) and brightens + tones skin

  • Patchouli - Helps moisturize, reduce scars, soothes skin and is anti-inflammatory

  • Ylang Ylang I - Balances oily and dry skin types and supports healthy cell division



"Love in the Air" Room + Linen Spray


Recipe:

Makes a 2oz spray bottle


Add 1 tsp of an alcohol to your spray bottle (we like using witch hazel but rubbing alcohol or vodka work great too!) Next fill the bottle the rest of the way (almost 2 oz) with water. And for your essential oils...


15 drops Lavender

10 drops Sweet Orange

10 drops Rosemary (ct verbenone)

4 drops Ylang Ylang I


Shake your bottle up before each use and spray away! And as an added bonus, this spray is safe to use around kiddos too!


How to Use it:


Your new room spray does more than just freshen up a room or your bed linen... the oils this recipe help purify and clean the air while uplifting your mood too! Use this room spray like you would any other, shake and spray throughout a room or onto pillows, blankets, curtains or bed sheets!

  • Rosemary (ct verbenone) - Helps boost mental activity, is anti-bacterial and reduces stress and fatigue

  • Ylang Ylang I - Balances mood swings, helps manage stress and reduces anxiety and depression
