Lemon Essential Oil is believed to be antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, adaptogenic (promotes homeostasis throughout body). May also support immune system, relieve nausea and vomiting, energize mood and relieve stress.

Though native to Asia, the lemon tree that produces the oil is grown around the world in almost any moderate climate. Lemon essential oil is a bright, fresh addition to any blend and is a staple cleaning oil. A drop of two of Lemon brings balance to any blend of oils. Primary uses for our Lemon Essential Oil are cleaning, skin care and energizing mood.

Aromatically: diffusion or direct inhalation

Topically: dilute to 1% with carrier oil or use neat (undiluted) for small, short term use - test diluted oil on a small area of skin before applying neat.

Phototoxic: always dilute to 1% or less when applying to skin exposed to direct sunlight

Blends well with: Basil, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lavender, Neroli, Patchouli, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Ylang Ylang, and balances any oil blend

Shelf life: 1 year when stored properly

Storage: Minimize exposure to light, air and heat to get the full benefit and life out of your oil. Store your oil tightly sealed and in cardboard tube between 59 and 71° F.

Citrus oils are cold pressed and contain higher content of terpenes. Because of this, citrus oils are more sensitive to air, light and heat and oxidize quicker than steam distilled oils. Oxidized oils can be identified by a change in aroma and will cause skin irritation.
