GC/MS Report
Latin name: Rosmarinus officinalis
Chemotype: verbenone
Category: Herbal
Origin: Italy
Method: Steam Distilled
Part: Flowering herb
Primary Compounds: 1,8-Cineole, Verbenone, Alpha Pinene, Bornyl Acetate, Camphor
Rosemary Essential Oil is believed to be analgesic (pain relief), antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, antispasmodic and a decongestant. May also strengthen cardiovascular function, stimulate hair growth, relieve painful menstruation, boost mental activity and aid memory function.
Our verbenone chemotype Rosemary essential oil is noticeably different than its counterpart cineole chemotype, also called Spanish Rosemary. Our Rosemary oil is gentler and non-irritating compared to Spanish Rosemary oil, due to its lower content of 1,8-cineole and camphor. This produces a softer and more herbaceous scented oil that is just as effective as the more sharp and camphorous scented Spanish Rosemary.
