Sweet Marjoram essential oil (Origanum majorana) has a predominantly woody, herbaceous scent with subtle sweet undertones. Grown in Egypt, this oil is steam distilled from the flowers and leaves of marjoram. This oil is pale yellow with a thin consistency, and is part of our Herbal category.

Sweet Marjoram Essential Oil is believed to be antispasmodic (relieves muscle cramps and spasms), analgesic (pain relief), anti-inflammatory, vasodilator (dilates small blood vessels) and nervine (strengthens nervous system). May support and regulate menstrual cycle and encourage sleep.
Sweet Marjoram essential oil comes from a common herb used widely in cooking and medicine. Sweet Marjoram is a warming and relaxing oil not to be confused with Spanish Marjoram (a stronger oil with different chemical compounds). Primary uses for our Sweet Marjoram essential oil include relieving muscle soreness and menstrual cramps, regulating menstrual flow, calming nerves and relieving pain.

Aromatically: diffusion or direct inhalation
Topically: dilute 3% with carrier oil or use neat (undiluted) for small, short term use - test diluted oil on a small area of skin before applying neat.

Shelf life: 4 years when stored properly
Storage: Minimize exposure to light, air and heat to get the full benefit and life out of your oil. Store your oil tightly sealed and in cardboard tube between 59 and 71° F.
