Oxidized/old oil will start to smell musty or sour. Our Tea Tree is grown in Australia and is steam distilled from the tree’s leaves. Known as a medicine cabinet in a bottle, Tea Tree oil is effective against bacterial, fungal and viral infections, healing skin conditions, and supporting immune system. This oil is in our Herbal category and has a thin consistency and is clear with a light yellow tint.

Description

This is the highest quality Tea Tree essential oil that we could find. Our Tea Tree essential oil is imported to the US from the best distillery in Australia and is shipped and stored in stainless steel drums under argon gas to preserve the freshness. Tea tree oil is one of the most common essential oils used. It is truly an “essential” oil to have in any collection.

Primary uses for our Tea Tree essential oil are cleaning, disinfecting, immune support, skin care and aiding respiratory function.

Uses/Conditions

Heal: may help reduce skin inflammation, heal minor wounds and clear up topical fungal, bacterial and viral infections; helps soothe insect bites.

Wellness: may kill and inhibit growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi; supports immune function; helps loosen and expel mucus and fight respiratory infections such as flu, coughs and colds.   

Beauty: strong antibacterial properties help treat acne and reduce appearance of blemishes; may help reduce hair loss, treat dandruff and kill headlice.

Applications

Aromatically: diffusion or direct inhalation

Topically: dilute 10-50% with carrier oil or neat (undiluted) for small, short term uses - test diluted oil on a small area of skin before applying neat.

Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Patchouli and Rosemary

Shelf life: 2 years when properly stored

Storage: Minimize exposure to light, air and heat to get the full benefit and life out of your oil. Store your oil tightly sealed and in cardboard tube between 59 and 71° F.

Tea Tree’s components give it potential to oxidize quickly and possibly irritate skin. Follow proper storage to keep your oil fresh and safe.
